10 years ago (about) I started my High School Adventure! While High School seemed to be full of drama...I loved it!! I know that I had some not so good times, BUT I seem to remember only good, good times! It is weird to think that I am that OLD...I don't feel OLD, but I certainly show signs of aging ( I am so forgetful!) I saw this tag on a sweet girl from my Logan neighborhood's blog and thought it would be fun to reminisce. 1. Did you date someone from your high school? NO, I really didn't date too much. I was such a silly girl back them... I had my share of flirtations and crushes but no notable "dates". 2. What kind of car did you drive? Well I drove a 2000 Caddy first (scariest car, ever..but it had a fun horn), then I drove a little Nissan Truck (SO FUN! it was stick and didn't have power anything but it was a wiry little car) 3. Di you pass your drivers test the first time? Yeah, but I got lucky the lady at the desk gave me the option to re-answer a question. 4. Were you a party animal? NO, I really played a lot, and had some great friends, but never really partied. 5. Where you considered a flirt? I don't think so, but sometimes I acted so stupid around boys...especially those I liked, but even those I didn't. 6. Were you in band...orchestra...or choir? I was in A'Capella...GOOD TIMES!! I am not a great singer so singing in groups is really my only option. I met some really neat people there. 7. Were you considered a nerd? NO, I really don't remember anyone being a nerd (So maybe I was?) 8. Were you on any Varsity teams? I didn't even try out for any sports. I liked photography... I was my yearbook Photo editor (not a very good one though, I was too ancy to grow-up and graduate) 9. Did you ever get suspended or expelled? Hmmm Yes, I got suspended for like a day...woooo 10. Can you still sing the fight song? I don't think I ever really could. I can chant like we did at games? 11. Who were you favorite teachers? My favorite was probably Mrs. Anderegg. I liked all of my teachers...I did not like my History teacher...he was a weirdo! 12. Where did you sit for lunch? The South Lawn, I went out to eat a lot for lunch and usually the class after or before. ( Dino Nuggets at Missa's house) 13. What's your high school's full name and where is it? West High School in SLC, UT. 14. What is your high school's mascot and colors? Panther, Red and Black. 15. Did you go to homecoming? With Who? Yes, I went to homecoming my Sophomore year with Melissa and Kate (stag) so silly, but so fun (I think we went because one of my friends had a little crush on someone there. 16. If you could go back and do it all over, would you? High school was a blast, but I am so happy where I am. If I went back I would certainly make some wiser choices, but I would not choose to leave the life I lead now. 17. What do you remember most about graduation? I remember yelling at a kid during rehearsals because I overheard his talking inappropriately about women and he told me to mind my own business...his name still leaves a dirty taste in my mouth. 18. Where did you go on your senior skip day? I don't remember, but I am sure I wasn't at school. 19. Were you in any clubs? I was secretary (woot woot) of WOW, and I was in yearbook. 20. Have you gained weight since them? Ummm, Yeah. 21. Who was your prom date? Um...well one of my favorite dances was with a complete stranger to my Junior years Christmas Dance...I laughed so much, he was so funny, and pretty cute too. 22. Are planning to attend you 10 (or 20) year reunion? Yeah, that would be a lot of fun, I missed out on our 5 yr. because I was super pregnant and it was hot outside (lame...but I was so uncomfortable). 23. Did you have a job in High school? I mowed lawns, I was a receptionist, and I worked at an activity center in Bear Lake for the summer. 24. What was your favorite part of High school? My friends... I am so bad at staying in touch but I had some terrific friends, I have a lot of fond memories of each of them. 25. What was your least favorite part of High school? I wish I had been more confident, I think a lot of the negative memories I have, have to do with me being insecure...and moments that I remember being really proud of myself (like when I calmly told a teacher that his behavior was inappropriate and that he should not talk that way...he was cussing, belligerent old buffoon). I had fun answering these questions, it really got me thinking about specific moments that I will cherish, always, from high school...and some lessons learned there. If you want... tag me back (this is for everyone)...I would love to hear some stories from your high school years!

First Snow (mis)Adventure!

So We have CABIN FEVER, pretty bad. Last week we mustered up the will to go adventure in our yard...First we tried sledding...With one adult pulling the sled and really deep uneven snow and no real support in the sled, this was not so fun for Campbell. Then we tried just playing in the snow, and that lasted until Campbell's bum got wet and he wanted nothing to do with the white stuff anymore.
SO we just ended up going for a walk around our neighborhood...a part I had not really walked around yet...there were some unsold lots and therefore some unshoveled walks...this was a fun adventure that had me sweating and Campbell bouncing with joy for the bumps.
And then upon arrival at home Campbell decided to get his little broom and shovel out, he would not let go of them so we could go inside...Oh he was so sad when I took them away :(

Goal

Documenting is one of my goals for this year. I want to take pictures and journal with a purpose. I printed of 10 ideas for each month of things I want to remember. My hope is that I can be diligent enough, that we can print our blog of and keep it as a keepsake.
I am starting this goal late, so I will play a little catch up for a bit
#1 Indoor Play
It is cold, and the air is bad...so Campbell and I do alot of playing inside. Here are a few of a favorite activities: Campbell runs around the house unloading cupboards, trash can's, laundry baskets, etc as I chase him saying 'no, no'. Bath time is also a big play time now, Campbell is usually pretty mellow in the tub, but when we are "aw dun" Campbell sits in the tub while the water drains out and then in an empty tub cries as I try to extract him. Campbell just got a rocking horse and he loves it!! We spend a chunk of the morning and after each nap bouncing on this $20 beaut! video

#2 First For 2010

1- Book: Those Who Save Us (overlapped a bit from last year)/ The Boy the Stripped Pajamas (all new this year)

2- Family Dinner: This was more like a Breakfast and it was with some friends... We had a brunch on 1/1/10 with the Olsen's and the Talbot's. We had a good time eating Fresh OJ, Little Smokey's, Crepes, Country Potatoes, Hot Chocolate, Fruit...and much more!

3-First Snow: This too was on 1/1/10 , snowed almost the entire day and towards the end, I was getting nervous about the safety in traveling for our guests. Andy brought out the 4-wheeler and clear the snow , and the boys couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a little ride.

...More Firsts to come!
