Oatmeal...I have never cared for oatmeal, recently I have tasted some that I like...but I need a recipe that uses my rolled oats rather than using the pre-flavored packets...Ideas? No Raisins!!! I am also looking for HEALTHY, non vegetable snacks??? Help?

Weight Loss!

I hate saying this, I hate talking about it. Oh Well!! BUT I want people to be aware where I am coming from and encourage/ support this goal. I have always struggled with my weight, I have always been the chubby girl and well for a long time I have wanted to change. My sister (who is much more motivated, much more active, etc then me) and I have set the goal to loose a substantial amount of weight by Christmas. I have never been very good at sticking with my weight loss goals, and more than anything I am hoping to create healthy habits. I want Campbell to be more active, than I am. I want Campbell to be more confident, to feel better about life, to be/ have more fun etc. I have to get a few things in order before I can really see/prove how I am doing, I need a scale and a better education on how the food I eat effects my goals. Wish me luck and healthy ideas/ tricks are very welcome! P.S. updated pictures of our latest happenings are soon to come...when my real computer isn't acting dumb!

The leaves are changing and life is...

Great! We have been so wound up with the house. I know I have neglected many, many things. I hope I have not neglected thing to the point of no return... It is refreshing to see, that something has come even in an extreme draught (season of neglect).
I have lived in dorms or apartments since I moved out of my parents house so my gardening space is...SMALL, but each year I try to plant a few tomato plants at least. This year I even planted a pepper (but was too scared to each it???)
We are so grateful for the opportunity to work hard and get a house (soon), we are so grateful for the many hours of help that have been offered by our friends and family. I am grateful that it will all be over soon too!
Here is a little update-
Andy: works all day, everyday. He works hard and long hours and I am grateful for the day when we get to have family time again!
Campbell: burned his arm...which is a dramatic event for a new mom! He is walking and I just can't keep him away anymore. He walked up behind be and as I hurried to close the oven he lunged for the door and his wrist kissed the edged. It blistered and popped quickly and now he just has a nasty red mark:(
Kim: is loving the fall (cooler weather and all), I love the colors and smells of fall. Everyone switches out their candles for a more spicy variety and it smells so comforting! I love being able to open my window to cool things down, rather than running the AC, I love making (and eating) soup and I love wearing a sweater to bed.
